Residential Energy Performance Certificate (EPC)

A Residential Energy Performance Certificate is required by law if you are selling or renting your residential property.

When Selling a Property

The law states before you sell your property or put it on the market, you must have ordered or obtained a Residential EPC. Your estate agent is then required to upload your full EPC within 28 days of commencement.

When Renting a Property

Again, the current law states every landlord possesses an EPC which can be made available for a potential tenant’s perusal.
We offer a high quality service at competitive prices starting at £36.00, depending on the area and type of property in question.

An EPC for On Construction or “New Build”

A separate EPC is required by the person carrying out the work to complete the Building Regulations. A set fee of £75.00 + VAT is payable as the information is gathered from the Architects plans, and does not require a visit.

How do I arrange an EPC Inspection?

It’s a simple process to order an EPC inspection, you can visit our website and click on the ‘EPC Quote’ link and complete the form with your details and payment or phone us on 0203 397 8220.

You will subsequently receive a telephone call from one of our experenced local assessors within 2 days of booking, whereby he will make an appointment to visit you with 2 working days of his telephone call.

The assessor will ask you some questions about your property and inspect such things as your domestic boiler, double glazing and hot water tank etc. Once this information has been assessed, your EPC will be available to download from the website under the “Track My Order” link.
