Nottingham Gas Safety Certificates
If you rent a property, you must have a Landlords Gas Safety Certificate or CP12 to follow the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998.
A rental property in Nottingham cannot be let without a Gas Safety Certificate. A gas appliance and installation inspection are needed yearly at any property.
Landlords must give their tenants a copy of the Gas Safety Certificate, and it is also wise for landlords to keep a copy for themselves. After all, gas safety is crucial for both tenant and building safety.
Ask your landlord for one if you're renting and don't have a copy of the gas safety certificate. You should contact the Gas Safe Register if your landlord didn't provide one.
